The International Group of P&I Clubs and our Education Committee are pleased to announce the winners of the 2025 P&IQ Scholarship Programme. Having promised to award five scholarships, the Education Committee were so impressed by the volume of excellent applications that it was agreed that ten scholarships would be awarded this year.
The scholars for 2025 are: Angga Prasetya, Akash Anand Dubey, Benjamin Moises Cordero Cote (Correspondent scholar), Camila Rojas (Correspondent scholar), Diana Mykhailova, Gabriela Icaza, Ma Ma Thant, Rawan Bakri, Sami Grimes, and Seham Noman (Correspondent scholar).
The Group Chair of the Education Committee, Chris Adie, passed on his good wishes to all P&IQ scholarship applicants and scholars:
“We were delighted to see that the IG P&I Qualification Scholarship Programme is appreciated globally. We received applications from Algeria, America, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Canada, China, Columbia, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Dubai, Egypt, France, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Jordan, Kenya, Maldives, Mexico, Myanmar, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, UAE, Ukraine, Vanuatu, Venezuela and Yemen. Thank you to all those who applied. This year, we received a record number of applications. We enjoyed reading your applications and were impressed by the knowledge, skills and expertise listed.
Congratulations to the ten applicants awarded a scholarship. We are pleased that they have all accepted the scholarship and hope that they enjoy the P&IQ course. Our successful applicants are outstanding candidates and have real value to offer to the industry in the future. Through the award of these scholarships, the Group hopes to retain and build on their skills and experience for the wider industry benefit. We look forward to getting to know the scholars.”
The P&IQ Scholarship application for 2026 opening date has not yet been confirmed. Further details will be released later in the year.
